The Hurricane MTS 220-C is a true Multi-Process welder. In fact it is one of the first of its kind on the market with the ability to both weld and cut in the same compact unit. The unit actually offers you the abilility to MIG weld, AC/DC TIG weld, DC Stick Weld or Plasma Cut with a simple torch change and button press. The unit has the perfect size to be a serious contender for use in portable repair and general light fabrication operations. Because of the Plasma capability, the unit can be taken anywhere and you'll always have what you need. You'll never need to load extra machines, or go off wishing you had brought something else to the jobsite.

The right tool for the job is always at hand. With up to 225A of MIG and TIG welding power, you'll be able to weld most common items encountered in the field up to 5/16" in a single pass and up to 3/8 to 1/2" multi-pass. The 40A plasma offers enough cutting power to cut up to 1/2 cleanly and the ability to sever even more.

Due to the IGBT inverter design, the machine is compact enough to be placed in most service bodies for transport and can hold up to an 8 roll of wire, which is approximately 10 to 12 lbs of wire capacity. It's light enough to be picked up and transported by one person without the need for special loading equipment.

The duty cycle of 35% at maximum output means the unit is ready for use and service without encountering long delays or interruptions in operation in every day welding activities. MIG, AC/DC Pulse TIG, Stick and Plasma Cutter design. Power-Set function features synergic function of all processes. High Frequency and Lift Start AC and DC TIG modes for a true "all in one" design.

Digitally controlled operation in all modes improve control and dependability. Operator friendly panel without complicated hidden menus or adjustments with grouped controls.

Manual Override of PowerSet function allows the user to adjust items like pre-flow/post-post flow/slope etc. Weld Aluminum, Stainless, or Steel with the MIG function with wire diameter from.

030-035 additional driver roll sizes and types available up to. Save up to 16 different programs with memory function that provides easy saving and recall of your favorite settings. Synergic Spool gun operation capability with optional spool gun.

TIG torch and Foot pedal included for TIG. Built in gas solenoid and connections for TIG eliminates need for gas valve torch used by competitors. True DC CC/CV Multi-Process design eliminates needing or carrying multiple units for one job.

AC capability on TIG allows user to weld aluminum. Industry first for this type design. Pulse TIG capability increases control and weld quality. Compact and light weight design makes the unit extremely portable, ideal for on-site fabrication. Adjustable Burn-back control keeps the wire energized after wire has stopped feeding to allow the wire to melt back to a desired length without retrimming wire before restarts. 8 Diameter wire spool capacity maintains portability while maintaining productivity. Adjustable MIG Wave arc force control manages slope/ inductance and fine tunes arc characteristics.

Adjustable stick Arc Force and New Hot Start controls allows the user to dial in desired Stick welding performance. TIG Up and Down slope allows the user to control the end of the welding cycle.

2T/4T torch trigger/latch function offers stepped control welding with TIG and MIG. Adjustable Pre and Post flow for TIG and MIG operation improves over all weld quality. 225 Amps of MIG and TIG power offer more than enough power to get the job done. 180 amps of stick welding power can be used with up to 5/32 welding rods. Dual Voltage design will operate on 120V or 240V.

Output on 120V is limited to 125 amps MIG/TIG/ 100 amps Stick. Blow Back Pilot Arc for Plasma with up to 40A. 26 series Air-Cooled TIG Torch with 12.5 ft. Cables and DINSE 35 Connector. SN-24 MIG Gun with 10 ft.

IPT-40 Plasma Torch 14 ft. With Dinse 35 Connector/Adapter and starter consumable kit (0.9mm). Stick Electrode Holder with 10 ft Cable and DINSE 35 Connector. Ground Clamp with 6 ft.

Cable and DINSE 35 connector. AW2000-02 Water Trap/Filter For Plasma. Consumable Starter Kit (Tungsten not included).

Portable Repair On Road or Off Road. This unit should never be used for Plasma CNC use. It can damage the unit. For Generator use: Use with only clean power rated Generators that provide 5% or less Total Harmonic Distortion. Use with generators that are rated 8500W or greater surge watts.

Damage may or may not be immediate. But it can be cumulative. This unit is not designed to weld E6010.

Weld up to a maximum of 3/8 Steel/Stainless single pass (240V). Weld up to a maximum of 5/8 Steel/Stainless multi-pass (240V).

Weld a minimum of 24 gauge Steel/Stainless (120V, 240V). Weld a maximum of 3/16 Steel/Stainless single pass (120V).

Weld up to a maximum of 1/4 Steel/Stainless multi-pass 120V. For aluminum, choose between the Parker DSP 360A gun (recommended) or the SM200N MTS gun for best results. 045 1 pc drive roll kit and use the standard 10 ft gun. Weld up to a maximum of 5/16 Aluminum single pass (240V). Weld up to a maximum of 3/8 Aluminum Multi-Pass (240V). Weld a minimum of 14 gauge Aluminum (120/240V). Weld a maximum of 1/8 Aluminum single pass (120V). Weld a maximum of 3/16 Aluminum multi-pass (120V). Single pass welds greater than 1/4 are not recommended as a sound welding technique. Weld steel to a maximum of 5/16 single pass (240V). Weld steel to a maximum of 1/4 single pass (120V). Weld steel to a maximum of 1/2-5/8 multi-pass(240V). Weld aluminum to a maximum of 3/8 multi-pass (240V). Weld aluminum to a maximum of 1/4 multi-pass (120V). Weld to a minimum of. Weld with a maximum of 1/8 diameter electrode (240V).

Weld with a minimum of 1/16 diameter electrode (120V and 240V). Weld with a maximum of 3/32 diameter electrode (120V).

Minimum practical cut 24-28 gauge with standad cutting tips. Plasma cutting capacity is affected by several factors. Ideal cutting conditions require dry air, new consumables, proper air pressure etc. Quality of cut depends upon consumable orifice size, standoff height, and travel speed. Reduce consumable orifice size for best quality cuts on thin metals.

Minimum cutting gauge is virtually unlimited, but kerf will be too wide if standard cutting tips are used. For best results, use a smaller diameter orifice for lighter gauges. Maximum electrode size is ultimately determined by brand and type of electrode. If there is damage, we can help file a damage claim immediately.
